Cnc Programmer Setup
2nd Shift
Location: Croton-on-Hudson, NY Compensation: $18.00
$28.00 per hour + Shift Differential Job Type: Full-Time Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to join their 2nd shift team at their facility in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment and requires strong setup and programming capabilities. This position is for a working CNC operator/programmer, not a supervisory or management role.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to specifications.
Create CNC programs for Lathes, VMCs (Vertical Machining Centers), and Multi-Spindle Machines.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Work with production teams to implement process improvements.
Document setup procedures and machine performance.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (college degree a plus).
Experience creating CNC programs for Lathes, VMCs, and Multi-Spindle machines is required.
Candidates will be asked to create a program during the interview process.
Previous CNC setup and operation experience required.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and meet ITAR/DOD compliance requirements.
