Material Handler I, II, III
With minimum supervision performs loading and unloading of trucks, pulling orders for shipment, and replenishment of stock while maintaining the warehouse in a clean and safe operating environment. Primary responsibilities will involve safely and accurately handling, storing, and distributing various materials to support production and operational needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely delivery of materials to designated areas, and contributing to a seamless supply chain & shipping process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pulls orders for daily shipments.
Verifies ordered items against pick lists to ensure proper items are pulled for shipment.
Evaluates quality of product; cosmetics, cleanliness, condition of paint.
Prepares items for shipment to protect against damage and loss.
Attaches correct paperwork to each order and prepares for daily shipments.
Load trucks.
Notifies shipping office of any discrepancies to inventory.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly warehouse.
Breaks down and incorporates inbound freight into the inventorysingle location for each item.
Follows all safety rules and regulations.
Production Planning Department
Picks inventory items against a pick list to ensure proper items are pulled for work orders or shipments.
Performs inventory transactions to receive, transfer or issue material.
Works with production planning, production, quality, warehouse and shipping associates in a professional manner to ensure all work is completed.
Verifies all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Investigates inventory discrepancies and reports to appropriate responsible person for correction.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
Evaluates quality of product; cosmetics, cleanliness, condition of paint.
Follows all safety rules and regulations.
Complies with Quality Management System requirements.
Completes other tasks as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
Assists receiving department in the unloading of inbound freight
Maintains all aspects of work place organization.
Performs inventory related tasks as directed; cycle counts or investigations.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Complies with the requirements of the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (when required).
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises employees within the department/division.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
Regular manual dexterity/coordination: hand/eye movements, motor control.
Regular visual effort: concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.
Work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
Able to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
Potential Hazards
Employee may be exposed to hazardous substances including a variety of petroleum-based products, cleaning solvents, etc. on a regular basis.
Employee may be exposed to sharp (cutting) tools on a regular basis.

Required Education/Experience/Skills
High School graduate, or equivalent, plus related experience as Material Handler or Warehouse Personal.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions;
Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures;
Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently;
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
Ability to drive a fork lift.
