Narda-MITEQ designs and manufactures an extensive range of standard active and passive components, as well as custom subsystems and integrated microwave assemblies to meet the requirements found on land, sea, air and the harsh environment of space. Responsible for performing inspections of purchased and/or in-house machined parts, units, materials, equipment, all level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, BOM's, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems of in process and final assemblies. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
Essential Functions:
Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards.
Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and applicable gages.
Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of tolerances on blueprint drawings.
Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs.
Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance using a microscope.
Maintain inspection logs and records.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2-year post-secondary/Associate degree with 0-2 year's relevant experience.
Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.
