An advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer with deep Mastercam expertise and a strong background in milling programming. The team's immediate need is support for mill programming, process optimization, and production readiness. Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for milling machines using Mastercam.
Program complex parts for 3-axis and 5-axis milling operations.
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve manufacturability and throughput.
Refine tooling strategies, toolpaths, and cycle times.
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues on the shop floor.
Support setup, prove-out, and process improvement for production machining.
Help standardize programming practices for mill-focused operations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of CNC programming experience.
Strong experience with Mastercam.
Proven experience programming CNC mills, especially multi-axis milling.
Strong understanding of tooling, machining strategy, and production optimization.
Ability to work independently and support a fast-moving shop environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with 5-axis milling programming.
Precision manufacturing, aerospace, or defense machining background.
Strong collaboration with machinists, engineers, and production teams.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be based in Texas.
Preference for candidates local to Leander / Austin.
Relocation support is not preferred.
