Warehouse Personnel
All Occasions Party Rental, a prestigious event company, located in Eighty Four, PA, is seeking first, second and third shift warehouse personnel. Position tasks and activities include loading and unloading company trucks, preparing equipment, securing equipment to vehicles, turning in completed load sheets, loading miscellaneous supplies, greeting and assisting customers, following cleaning procedures, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, stocking service areas, communicating with supervisors, reporting safety violations, filling in for other positions, adhering to company policies, complying with government safety requirements, and attending department, store, and safety meetings.
Nature of the work is typically very physical and demanding, both from strength requirements and the stamina required. Will help customers and delivery personnel load and unload vehicles. Will also help maintain inventory. Shipping and receiving functions, from light to heavy, are also performed. Janitorial responsibilities, both inside and outside the premises, are also involved.
Working conditions require standing for long periods of time. Most work will be indoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned. This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and with the public. This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.
Education, skills and requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED, ability to lift approximately 70 lbs, maintaining a professional personal appearance, customer relation skills, ability to use mathematics to solve problems, computer knowledge, ability to speak English clearly and write legibly, ability to pass company drug screen, maintaining an acceptable attendance record, having a full range of motion and dexterity, understanding and following instructions furnished in written, oral and scheduled form, and maintaining a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
