Woodland Hills who needs live in care. She has mild to moderate cognitive decline and walks with a walker and needs stand by assistance. Needs help with ADL's.
Responsibilities:
Following a pre-set care plan
Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance)
Assist with medication reminders
Monitor and report on client's well-being
Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed
Grocery shopping & errands
Cooking/meal preparation
Scheduling appointments, including doctor's
Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved-ones regarding the client's daily status
Daily notes
Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
Current HCA or higher certification
Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule
Ability to lift 35 pounds
Ability to assist with client's mobility as needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be exposed to some hazards, such as bodily fluids that may contain disease.
