Baker
Phillips Farms is a 300 acre, family-operated farm in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. We produce a wide range of fruits and vegetables. We also grow a variety of ornamental plants in our greenhouses. During the summer months, we invite customers onto our farm to pick their own fruit and enjoy a day outside with their families.
The baker is responsible for completing the assigned baking list daily, ensuring the quality of all baked goods for sale at the Market, correctly using and maintaining kitchen tools and equipment, following all food safety protocols and ensuring that food safety standards are met, assisting with preparing scratch items, correctly following recipes, completing inventories of bakery items, correctly storing food and ingredients, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and completing tasks assigned by the Assistant Bakery Manager and Farm Market General Manager as needed.
Essential functions
Bake items on assigned baking list efficiently and to criterion
Ensure quality, quantity, and variety of baked goods produced meets predetermined standards
Follow recipes accurately and consistently
Comply with all food safety standards
Meet productivity standards set by management
Prepare, store, and inventory baked goods to criterion

Daily responsibilities
The baker will complete the daily baking list as assigned, as well as assist in any other assigned tasks in the bakery, including but not limited to helping prepare homemade baked goods and ice cream, using kitchen equipment, completing inventories, and storing and organizing food and ingredients.
Work environment
This position primarily requires working in the kitchen at the Phillips Farms Market. Work will take place inside, though will occasionally require going into a cooler or freezer.

Climbing ladders to reach items in storage
Required education and experience
Must have at least three months' experience working in a kitchen
Must speak Spanish
