Surface Mount Technology Operator
Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a Surface Mount Technology Operator in Lake Township, OH. This role supports production across the Surface Mount line by assisting with machine setup, operation, maintenance, and quality checks. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to take initiative. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! Available shifts 1st Shift (7:30 a.m.
4:00 p.m.) (flexible after 90 days)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with setup and operation of SMT equipment for production orders
Retool machines and support line changeovers
Perform basic quality checks and inspections
Maintain material flow and organization on the production line
Complete required documentation accurately
Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance
Report issues with equipment, materials, or processes promptly
Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing documentation
Basic computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
SMT machine operation (preferred)
Electronics manufacturing environment
Experience with hand tools and machine setups
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to move between workstations and work around machinery
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (or team lift)
