Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Driver
Location:
Pompton Lakes & Oakland, NJ
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 8am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable
Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Driver
to join a busy
Steel Distribution warehouse
serving the Pompton Lakes and Oakland, NJ areas. This is a
full-time opportunity
for someone with warehouse experience and forklift operation skills.
The position involves handling large steel materials such as
600 lb rolls and metal bars (similar to Swiss steel) . While some lifting is required, heavier materials will be handled using a
crane or forklift .
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and receiving steel materials
Order pulling and preparation for shipment
Checking and handling large steel rolls and metal bars
Operating forklifts and warehouse equipment safely
Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed
Requirements:
Ability to lift
up to 50 lbs
Experience operating
stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts
Sideloader forklift experience preferred , but not required
Comfortable working with large steel materials
Strong attention to safety and warehouse procedures
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a
steel distribution or metal warehouse environment
Experience with
crane operation or sideloader forklifts
