Job Overview
Seeking hands-on Fiber Optic Technicians to support MTP/MMC connector and trunk repair projects in data centers. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber infrastructure alongside client engineering teams.
This is a travel-heavy, onsite role requiring extended hours and weekend flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fiber testing using OTDR, scopes, multifiber test sets, and VFL
Identify faults, signal loss, and failure points
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend fixes
Repair fiber systems including:
MTP/MMC connectors, SOCs (8F/12F), pigtails (12F/24F), LC/SC connectors
Perform cleaning, routing, bend radius management, and minor corrections
Support FastTrack repairs and Refurcation as needed
Project Execution & Reporting
Provide daily updates to site/engineering leads
Support onsite execution under Field Engineers
Document troubleshooting, repairs, and progress
Submit required Customer Notification (CN) data
