Dallas Nanny Position
A warm, professional family in Dallas is seeking a part-time nanny to support the care of their two young daughters (3 years old and 8 months old). Both children are in full-time daycare, and the role will primarily focus on afternoon/evening support, as well as one weekend day. The ideal candidate will be proactive, engaging, and confident managing toddler behaviors while supporting a busy, dual-working household. Start date would ideally be in late April/early May.
Schedule
Approx. 20 hours per week
Weekday evenings: typically 4:00/5:00 PM
8:00/9:00 PM
One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday): ~ 9/10 AM
2/3 PM
Flexibility required for occasional schedule adjustments
Approximately 20 full days per year (school closures): 8:00 AM
6:00 PM
Family prefers a consistent schedule, with some flexibility as needed
Two consecutive days off - exact days TBD
Responsibilities
Pick up children from daycare and transport safely home
Prepare children's meals and bottles
Assist with bath time and evening routines
Provide attentive, hands-on care (primarily supporting one child at a time while a parent is home)
Engage children in age-appropriate, creative, and educational activities
Support toddler development and help manage transitions/tantrums with a calm, gentle approach
Accompany family on weekend outings (park, swim lessons, birthday parties, etc.)
Maintain organization of children's areas, including tidying, laundry, and light household support related to the children
Follow family preferences and routines, including dietary restrictions
Qualifications
Background in early childhood education, Montessori, or similar philosophies
Experience with speech or occupational therapy support
Proactive, takes initiative, and comes prepared with activities and ideas
Warm, engaging, and able to build strong rapport with children
Culturally aware and respectful of family's religious practices and dietary restrictions
Flexible and team-oriented mindset
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of professional childcare experience
Experience with infants and toddlers
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle
Comfortable with driving children (car seats provided; mileage reimbursed)
Strong swimmer (home has a pool; supervision required)
Comfortable supporting a child working on emotional regulation and developmental milestones
Professional, reliable, and highly organized
No history of substance abuse (background and drug screening required)
Fluent in English
Comfortable working in a home with occasional staff/vendors
Salary and Benefits
$30$35/hour, depending on experience
Overtime paid in accordance with state law
Mileage reimbursement
