Position Type PRN Job Shift Day
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
All duties that may be assigned to a nurse aid.
All duties that may be assigned to a unit secretary.
Assist with admission assessment.
Care and maintenance of various drainage tubes.
Wound care only Stage 2 and less.
Charting of patient care given and special treatments performed.
Removals of IV, SL only after procedure has been supervised 3X.
Removal of Foley catheter only after procedure has been supervised 3X.
Obtain sterile urine from Foley catheter only after procedure has been supervised 3X.
Wound culture.
Insert Foley (Foley will be inserted only after this is covered in their nursing program and has been supervised 3X.
Qualifications
Education: Is a student in good standing in a licensed nursing program and has completed a minimum of 1 full semester of nursing classes and has started hospital clinical.
Experience:
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: BLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Completed CNA checklist Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
