Job Description

The EVS Attendant will maintain the cleanliness and safety of an assigned area throughout a shift. The EVS Attendant will implement the highest degree of professionalism in EVS and adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines set by the EVS Manager.

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

* The EVS Attendant will insure that every guest is offered a warm personalized guest experience.

* Sweep all paper and other trash in an assigned area and dump trash in proper location.

* The EVS Attendant will clean, dust and wipe down all surfaces in assigned area.

* Empty and clean all ashtrays in assigned area.

* The EVS Attendant will use proper safety and care with equipment and tasks for your own safety as well as the guests and fellow team members.

* Sweep and or mop floors in designated or assigned areas.

* The EVS Attendant will clean and restock restrooms as volume dictates.

* Detail cleaning of restrooms or other assigned areas.

* Chemical use is a necessity. Chemicals include: citrus cleaner, glass cleaner, wood polish, wax, etc.

* Communication skills are required due to direct guest contact.

* Other projects or duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

* The EVS Attendant will attend shift and departmental meetings.

* Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures.

* The EVS Attendant will follow established key, radio, and chemical procedures.

* Cross-train in areas as assigned or scheduled.

Qualifications

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

* Six (6) months prior experience preferred.

* Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions

* Must successfully pass background check

* Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening

* Must be 21 years of age

* Delivers superior internal and external guest service in Boyd Style.

Job Description

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms in accordance with company and departmental standards while ensuring the security and integrity of guest accommodations and their contents.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of assigned guest rooms according to established company and departmental standards, including:
Changing and properly securing bed linens
Collecting soiled bath linens and replenishing with fresh, sanitized linens
Dusting and sanitizing all hard surfaces
Vacuuming and maintaining carpeted areas
Thoroughly cleaning bathroom fixtures including sinks, countertops, bathtubs, showers, and toilets
Restocking room amenities including tissues, toiletries, and other guest supplies
Prepare and stock supply carts with all necessary cleaning materials and supplies prior to room service
Maintain accurate room status documentation and complete all required departmental paperwork in a timely manner
Communicate maintenance and repair requirements to the housekeeping department promptly
Address guest requests with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support departmental operations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout assigned shifts
Capability to push, pull, and maneuver supply carts weighing approximately 200 pounds
Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including kneeling, reaching, stooping, bending, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
Proficiency in the safe and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and hospitality-grade sanitizing agents
Willingness to obtain and maintain all required certifications and/or licenses as mandated by the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in guest room attendant or housekeeping positions within hospitality environments
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices for guest accommodations

Job Description

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining Ameristar Casino Resort Hotel's standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel tower, as directed.
Qualifications

Deliver exceptional internal and external guest service. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member's needs and questions.
Cleans hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, team member, and storage areas, as directed in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
Is responsible for maintaining and cleaning all equipment used throughout the course of a shift, in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains proper documentation of all duties accomplished during a working shift, as directed. Reports all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling.
Abides by all security/safety measures.
Greets all guests throughout shift with the proper salutation and pleasant expression.
Performs all duties in a quiet and orderly manner.
Responds to any/all guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Reports room and hall deficiencies to PBX/Supervisor and follows up on completion.
Provides accurate information of property along with property events and promotions.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
