Housekeeping Attendant
Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center is seeking candidates to join our Housekeeping department as a Housekeeping Attendant.
The Housekeeping Attendant may at any time clean lodge rooms or cabins, public/lobby areas, strip rooms or assist with laundry depending on the business needs that day.
Starts at $12.00/hour. Increase to $12.50/hour available when company standards are met for cleanliness and ability to clean up to 12 rooms or 4 cabins daily within the allotted time frame.
No experience necessary - we are willing to train individuals who are committed, eager to learn and have excellent attention to detail! Candidates must have exceptional attendance so that the work is done timely without disruption to the guest.
Hours may be day shift or night shift. Shifts end when all work is completed for the day. All rooms/cabins assigned must be completed prior to departure so that rooms are available at check-in time.
Responsibilities:
Clean up to 12 rooms or 4 cabins daily within the allotted time frame
Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies prior to starting to clean rooms
Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms, cabins or lobby/public areas to lodge standards
Cleans bathrooms, showers and toilets in rooms, cabins or public areas of the lodge
Inspect for safety hazards & for the operating conditions of equipment
Report lost and found articles and maintenance problems to a supervisor
Prepare rooms or cottages for guest arrivals and respond to special guest requests
Record room status on work assignment sheets
When cleaning public areas ensures that bathrooms, lobbies and entrances are free of clutter & vacuumed each shift
Laundry duties will include loading/unloading washers & dryers, ironing and folding sheets, towels, tablecloths, napkins and other linen as required for the day. Will also be responsible for delivering items to rooms or cottages upon request to include but not limited to: rollaway beds, towels, linen, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
No experience necessary.
Attention to detail and have a cleanliness mindset
Open & flexible availability required including weekends and holidays
Physical ability and stamina to clean up to 12 rooms or 4 cabins per day
Must be able to repeatedly bend/stoop, frequently push/pull, and occasionally squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel and balance and frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs daily; occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on feet up to four (4) hours at a time
Valid Driver's license preferred
