Program Analyst
Job Description We have an immediate opportunity for a Program Analyst. The position is well suited for candidates seeking to develop foundational experience in federal financial management within a mission-focused defense environment. In this role, you will provide entry-level financial management and budget execution support to the Command Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS) program in direct support of USCYBERCOM J9 Financial Management (FM). This role supports routine budget tracking, financial documentation, reporting, and data reconciliation activities that enable senior analysts and government leadership to maintain situational awareness and make informed resource decisions. Work is performed under the direction of senior CAAS financial analysts and government financial managers. Additionally, this position supports a high-visibility, mission-driven organization with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth. Training and on-the-job learning provided to support successful onboarding and skill development. General responsibilities include:
Support day-to-day budget execution and financial management activities under the guidance of senior CAAS analysts and government financial managers.
Perform routine data entry, updates, and reconciliations within the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system (training provided).
Assist with budget tracking, funding documentation, and recurring financial reporting requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with federal and organizational compliance standards.
Support preparation of financial artifacts, trackers, and documentation used for internal reviews and leadership decision-making.
Coordinate with senior analysts to resolve data discrepancies and ensure consistency across financial reports.
Adhere to established processes, timelines, and quality standards to support mission execution.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a relevant field (in lieu of bachelor's degree, an associate's degree with additional years of experience may be substituted).
2 years of experience supporting budget execution, financial management, accounting, or related business processes
Foundational understanding of the federal budget lifecycle and execution environment (education or experience)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track, validate, and reconcile financial data
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and financial tracking tools (e.g., Excel or similar)
Ability to follow established procedures and work effectively under supervision in a structured environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with knowledge and ability to utilize appropriate grammatical skills at a professional level.
