Export Shipper
Nazdar is adding an Export Shipper to work at our location in Shawnee, KS. This position assembles and labels outgoing orders, assuring that contents are labeled properly and conform to specified shipping and regulatory requirements. PTO and benefits eligible after 60 days. Shift schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sorts and prioritizes orders according to mode of transportation, ship date, and shipping requirements designated by the customer.
Assembles customer orders from stock. Marks and labels all orders.
Enters orders in M3, Ship ERP, UPS, or other databases with proper shipping name, UN#, and packaging group #. Properly classifies all restricted orders.
Promptly and efficiently handles walk-in customer requests in a courteous, professional manner.
Communicates with customer service regarding changes in orders, status of orders, and inventory levels of stock on hand.
Cleans workstation and surrounding floor area at the end of each workday.
Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
Assist with other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Minimum Education, Skills & Experience Levels:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Microsoft Office experience: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
Preferred:
Previous shipping and receiving experience and hazardous material experience are preferred.
Previous experience or training in international shipping - International Aviation Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG)
Previous experience using shipping software.
Qualifications:
