Job Summary

This position works independently or within a team to assemble quality fabricate metal components for furniture to work order specifications in an incentives base manufacturing environment.
Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

Fabricate metal material according to La-Z-Boy quality requirements.

Operate press, machine maintenance to maximize program yields.

Load die and set up the machine, adjusting for each job.

Keep all moving parts of machine lubricated.

Operate forklift or pallet jack to relocate materials, supplies, and parts as needed.

Inspect work visually for defects according to our quality standards

Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Ability to operate equipment in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.

Rework non-conforming parts as necessary.

Control quality and waste.

Demonstrates teamwork and motivation for job requirements.

Follow health and safety standards.

Maintain a clean work area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties

Basic reading, writing and math skills

Ability to read complex print specifications

Use and understand measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, etc.)

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Basic computer skills

Obtain PIV license

Achieve performance standards

Excellent attendance; 3 points or less.

No safety written warnings
