The IT Systems Experience Administrator plays a critical role in supporting and improving Henry Street’s core business systems. This position owns the administration of Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, identity systems, SharePoint, and OneDrive environments, data protection tools, and select agency applications such as case management, HR, finance, CRM, or city-mandated systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real operational problems, organizing systems, improving data integrity, and helping users work more effectively. You will partner closely with leadership, program teams, and IT team members to ensure systems remain secure, efficient, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities
Administer Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, and Entra ID
Support data protection, retention, and compliance initiatives using Microsoft Purview
Manage access, permissions, groups, and governance across core systems
Support agency applications such as CRM, HR, case management, and cloud platforms
Build and validate reports used by leadership and operational teams
Troubleshoot advanced application and Microsoft 365 issues
Improve documentation, system organization, and user experience
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Strong SharePoint / OneDrive experience
Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD
Experience with Purview, DLP, retention, or compliance tools
Experience supporting SaaS platforms such as CRM, HRIS, or case management tools
Experience producing reports and validating data accuracy.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and ownership mindset
Ability to work onsite in New York City
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications (MS-102, SC-400, SC-300, or similar).
Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or multi-program environments.
Experience supporting migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
Experience with SharePoint site design, metadata, and governance.
Experience with vendor-hosted SaaS platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in IT Related field
Essential Physical Job Functions:
Ability to move through multiple office locations.
Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 30 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work onsite regularly.
