Network Solutions Engineer provides dedicated solutions support to all Network Partners and appropriate Software Houses. Responsible for defining standard solution deliverables, solution design and implementation Best Practices. Provides consulting support for customer meetings, leads technical discussions regarding Diebold Nixdorf products and services offerings, and mentors other Diebold Nixdorf field resources as appropriate.
Interfaces with:
Works for and under the direction of Director/Manager responsible for Network Certifications with a direct working relationship with Professional Services and DNA Sales Management.
Does not directly supervise any other associate.
Interfaces with other Network Systems Support personnel.
Works closely with the product development team to ensure we are certifying what will be rolled out to customers.
Interfaces with PS Management, Product Management and support channels
Interfaces with sales to assist in setting customer expectations of Diebold Nixdorf solutions as well as Diebold Nixdorf certified solutions as it relates to the customers' driving network.
Engages in Diebold Nixdorf field training as appropriate to stay up to date on Diebold Nixdorf offerings.
Mentors Diebold Nixdorf field personnel as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Certification of controlled software stacks and new hardware releases within the large networks. Working individually and as part of a team of network SEs and product development team to build, test and certify controlled baseline images for network partner deployments.
Provide Diebold Nixdorf with knowledge of the driving networks.
Consults with network's Product Management and Development groups on functionality and solution offering using Diebold Nixdorf's current and new software releases.
Review technical Needs Analysis and provides solution recommendations.
Keeps current on the latest technological developments.
Keeps current with the network's road map to continue to keep Diebold Nixdorf functionality and needs included.
Identifies new feature/functionality system requirements and provides specifications to the appropriate Product Management.
Develops and publishes standards for the networks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4-6 years progressive responsibility experience in technical consulting or professional services programs.
B.S. in computer sciences or equivalent experience, certification or education.
Network Solutions Engineer should have successful experience in delivering consulting services to customers regarding a variety of technologies.
Excellent knowledge of Diebold Nixdorf programming reference manuals as well as the messages exchanged between the ATM and driving network.
Advanced understanding of technology as it relates to software, networking and systems/solutions development and other technical areas in either a banking or non-banking environment.
Ability to clearly document and/or provide ATM configurations required by the different driving networks.
Ability to act in an autonomous role with little, if any, management direction.
Able to identify revenue opportunities within network and/or partnering solutions.
Able to document and discuss Network requirements with network partners.
Location: Onsite based in North Canton, OH
Travel to network partners is typically required (1-2 times a year).
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate with both a technical and a non-technical audience.
Ability to identify situations that require getting the network and Canton personnel together.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and organized.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a drive toward ownership of the solution.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and influence. Conflict management and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle multiple technical engagements.
