We’re seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Respiratory Therapist who will take our breath away and give it back to our patients. Primary Responsibilities for Pulmonary Function Lab RT PFL Respiratory Therapist primarily performs diagnostic tests. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, asthma exercise testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, cardiopulmonary stress testing, home oxygen evaluations, six minute walk tests, arterial blood gases and other tests that a doctor orders. In addition to testing patients, the PFL Respiratory Therapist may be asked to administer respiratory therapies and educate patients on the use of their medications and equipment. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions. Secondary Responsibilities PFL Respiratory Therapists spend most of their time performing noncritical testing. However, they must be
