The Position
Wellington Management sponsors and sub-advises a broad array of products ranging from traditional long-only funds to alternative strategies, including hedge funds & private equity. Fund Services is responsible for the financing, accounting, and operations for these investment funds. Fund Services is comprised of four teams:
Fund Control & Operations
Fund Treasury & Custody
Fund Infrastructure & Analysis
Fund Reporting & Audit.
The Financial Reporting Analyst will be a member of the Fund Reporting & Audit team which has the primary responsibility of supporting the successful completion of annual fund financial statement audits and regulatory filings. This role will require frequent interaction and collaboration with other Wellington teams and service providers (Custodians, Fund Administrators, Auditors).
Responsibilities
Assist with the annual audit process, including financial statement reviews, and work closely with fund auditors and service providers
Perform a variety of daily/weekly/monthly centralized activities, such as regulatory filings, client reporting, and management reporting
Assist with process improvement efforts by helping to identify, develop and implement enhancements
Respond to internal and external inquiries on a broad array of topics
Support projects associated with the funds, Wellington's operational and systems infrastructure and service providers
Contribute to enhancing internal controls and process documentation
Develop relationships with Wellington's centralized teams and external service providers
Utilize IT skills and knowledge to identify and implement efficiencies where possible
Qualifications
College undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business
5-10 Years of experience from a public accounting firm, asset management firm, and/or fund administrator
Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other individuals
A natural curiosity and desire to expand one's knowledge and role
Advanced Excel, Access skills, business intelligence/IT skills using Alteryx, SQL, Tableau or a desire to develop them
A proactive nature in developing and improving processes
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, performing multiple tasks and balancing competing priorities
Ability to work independently and solve problems
Progress towards a CPA, CFA, CAIA or MBA is a plus

The base salary range for this position is:
USD 80,000 - 150,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
