Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 + Full Benefits
A rapidly growing manufacturing organization in Rockwood, TN is seeking a Plant Controller to join their finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner directly with the CFO and plant leadership to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do
Serve as the financial leader for the manufacturing facility, partnering with plant leadership to support operational and strategic decisions.
Oversee cost accounting, production analysis, and manufacturing financial reporting to ensure accurate cost visibility and profitability.
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuations, production costs, and financial statements.
Analyze standard vs. actual cost variances and identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets including inventory, capital, and cash.
Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting programs and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Partner with corporate finance on annual budgets and forecasts, with focus on COGS and inventory levels.
Act as the ERP subject matter expert for the facility and help optimize reporting processes.
Lead inventory and cost-related audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP.
Communicate financial results and key performance metrics to plant leadership and employees.
What We’re Looking For
7–10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing financial operations
Experience leading month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting
Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency
Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA a plus)
Preferred Experience
Experience with EPM systems such as Anaplan, Planful, or Prophix
Experience in Lean or Six Sigma manufacturing environments
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
