Our client, a NYSE-listed global diversified company is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within their Corporate Controllership Group. In this cross-functional role, you will focus on technical accounting and external reporting, as well as operational initiatives that involve digital transformation. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Corporate Finance and Accounting Group, segment corporate offices, and operating company locations.
Requirements of Senior Accountant:
To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of financial reporting experience, preferably in public accounting with SEC clients
-Experience with US GAAP, including ASC 606, software revenue recognition (a plus), and ASC 842
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
-CPA (or working towards it) preferred.
-Big4/public accounting experience is desired
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- SEC Reporting: document and footnote preparation, interacting with investor relations to support press release and investor supplement review
- Internal reporting and analysis using a multi-dimensional database reporting tool, Longview
- Assisting Managers with new accounting pronouncements, footnote disclosures, and other GAAP/SEC implementation issues
- Drafting and maintaining financial policies and procedures for company-wide use
- Assisting with digital transformation projects and other initiatives
- Maintaining reports and integration of GAAP accounting changes into the financial reporting system
- Assisting the team with periodic audit related questions and requests from auditors
- Providing ad-hoc valuation support related to acquisitions
