Senior Accountant
The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) is a convener, incubator, and investor committed to accelerating opportunity and prosperity for the AAPI community. TAAF supports the ecosystem of advocates and organizations committed to AAPI causes so that together we can more effectively take action against hate and violence, and build the infrastructure needed to improve AAPI advocacy, power, and representation across American society. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in providing support within the Finance Team by assisting in the monthly financial close, balance reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will approach their work with creativity, strategy, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. They will embrace a culture of learning, lead with compassion and gratitude, and value inclusion and collaboration in decision-making. Most importantly, they will be deeply committed to understanding and addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities through TAAF's pillars of change.
Responsibilities
Assist with the monthly financial close.
Assist with the annual financial audit.
Monthly financial statement preparation.
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsible for accounts payable.
Record revenue or accounts receivables related to donations.
Monitor restrictions on donations and grants.
Responsible for identifying variances and reconciling the donor database to receipts
Perform other duties as assigned.
