Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
• Manage and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support cost accounting functions including inventory valuation and analysis
• Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, materials, and overhead
• Partner with operations to understand production costs and improve profitability
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
• Support ERP system utilization and improvements related to accounting processes

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Experience with inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis preferred
