Job Description
This position is scheduled to work 5 8-hour shifts per week. Operators are responsible for monitoring and maintaining fiber reactors, filtering, transferring, and adjustments of liquids, manufacturing of zirconium batches, filling of finished product containers, and sampling as required. Performs in-process testing on fiber reactor liquids and on liquids being filtered. Accountable to follow all SOPs and GMPs.
Job Duties
Monitor and maintain fiber reactors
Lock out reactors and perform an air quality test
Load aluminum ingots (use hoist when needed)
Dispose of banding and replace pallets as necessary
Perform HCL and H2O additions
Monitor and maintain reactor levels until batch completion
Pump off fiber reactor liquid to designated tank
Aerate, sample and read tank levels
Filter, transfer, and adjust liquids as described in standard operating procedures
Operate a forklift to load and unload materials, transport products, and assist in material handling activities
Fill finished product containers as described in standard operating procedures
Manufacture zirconium batches per work order requirements
Inspect equipment to include, but not limited to forklifts, pumps, lines/hoses, fittings, ladders, etc.
Accurately record all pertinent processing data, including the addition of raw materials or intermediate products while processing.
Fulfill written work orders as assigned
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to regulatory standards
Adhere to all safety protocols and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
All other tasks assigned by supervision and/or management.
Job Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Special Requirements and Independency:
Traveling Required: n/a
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, reach, stoop, squat, climb ramps & stairs, push and pull, reach at or below waist level and occasionally overhead, drive (forklift), hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (machinery alarms).
*** Fit for duty physical is required

Salary Range
External Field The base pay rate is $22.00. In addition to hiring pay, compensation package may include additional components such as health benefits, life insurance, 401K, vacation.
