Basic Function

The job of Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver is done for the purpose of providing support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities for ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; loading and unloading orders; and collecting materials from sites as assigned.
This job reports to DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATOR
Representative Duties

Essential Functions
Assists with physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock rotating and identifying losses.
Cleans warehouse (e.g. sweeps, removes debris, mops, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
Collects a variety of E-Waste materials from sites as requested and call recycling center for pick up (e.g. textbooks, electronic material, etc.) for the purpose of discarding materials properly.
Delivers a variety of items, stock and non-stock, (e.g. food, mail, boxes, packages, cargo, office supplies, furniture, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of distributing items to assigned locations and/or individuals.
Drives vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of loading and transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
Loads and unloads delivery trucks (e.g. checks for priority, conducts a second review of orders going out, etc.) for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
Maintains records and prepares a variety of manual and electronic files (e.g. maintenance reports, signatures for deliveries, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.
Responds to inquiries of staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the invoices.
Uses bilingual skills with parents and students for the purpose of translating for school staff and supporting schools as needed.
Marginal Functions
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Initial/Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from High School OR General Education Development (GED) equivalent.
Two (2) years of experience in a job-related field.
Any other combination of education, training, and experience, which demonstrates that the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge, or abilities, may be considered.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Forklift Certificate.
Valid Class C Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; operating equipment used in warehouse operations; operating standard office equipment and software; preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports; and oral and written communication.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: health and safety regulations and practices; handling procedures used in the receipt, storage, control, inventory and distribution of materials; shipping and receiving procedures; proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies; inventory procedures and techniques; and proper methods of loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities; collate data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of job-related equipment. Some problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans. Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working with constant interruptions; setting priorities; working with detailed information; and displaying tact and courtesy.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organization's services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 25% sitting, 50% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and in a generally hazard free environment.
