Position Details
Summary
Performs designated quality assurance processes relative to supporting customer order requirements. Verifies supplier certifications, records component identification and traceability in accordance with established pump inspection records, prepares data packages, ensures proper and efficient movement of material through the assigned area.
Principal Activities
Reviews supplier certificates of compliance to ensure material conformance to purchase order, contracts, and material specifications.
Reviews contract requirements and prepare required data packages for Part Orders as per applicable contracts.
Maintains and updates the supplier database. Assure supplier certificates of compliance for incoming material are uploaded in the database in a timely manner.
Maintains upkeep of OQE records and documents of projects as required by Naval Customer orders.
Reads and interprets customer drawings and contracts, written work instructions, routes, bills of material, work sampling plans and processes, and material specifications.
Works with computers (ERP systems)
Prepares pump inspection forms prior to Production and Engineering Operations for assembly and test.
Participates in the implementation and utilization of the Circor Business System tools as necessary for continuous improvement of processes.
Position Requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with DOD Contracts and Purchase Orders associated with Government Contracts
Familiar with ASTM and Military specifications, DFARS, and customers' Standard Clauses
Experience with the interpretation of CMM Reports, NDT inspection methods, welding reports, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
ERP knowledge is required, specifically IFS.
Must be detail oriented, skilled at problem solving, be assertive, diligent, and have ability to multitask.
Must be organized, work independently, and have good time management skills, with ability to prioritize work.
Must have excellent communication skills and display the ability for sound decision making.
Must be a team player, set agendas and stick to task and plan.
Education & Experience
High School student or graduate or preferably a candidate with an associate degree (A. A.) from two-year College or technical school. One to three years related experience.
