Forklift Operator and Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Starting $23-$24/hr
Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk oversees all finished goods entering and leaving the facility, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely, correct shipment of products. This role combines hands-on material handling, forklift operation, and packaging with computer-based inventory tracking in a fast-paced warehouse and controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Receive finished goods into the facility and verify quantities and product details against documentation.
Prepare, package, and label products for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and promptly report discrepancies.
Use warehouse management and computer systems to check, update, and maintain inventory records.
Operate forklifts, including Bendi and Drexell forklifts, to move, load, and unload products safely throughout the warehouse.
Utilize pallet jacks to transport materials and finished goods to designated locations.
Scan products and shipments to maintain accurate tracking and documentation.
Pick orders and stage materials for shipment in a timely and organized manner.
Handle materials and boxes throughout the day, including lifting items weighing between 1 and 35 pounds.
Place boxes and materials in designated storage areas, including transporting some items up an industrial ladder when required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility procedures.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity, quality, and accuracy expectations.
Essential Skills

At least 2 years of forklift experience
Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely in a warehouse environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Ability to perform inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
Basic to intermediate computer skills for checking and updating inventory levels.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to perform frequent walking and material handling throughout the shift.
Capability to lift boxes weighing from 1 to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to safely carry boxes up an industrial ladder when required.
Strong attention to detail for accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with scanning systems or barcode technology for inventory and shipping is beneficial.
Warehouse experience, machine operation, packing, labeling, picking, and general material handling is advantageous.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with warehouse and production teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
