About the Role


The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary strategic contact for key customer accounts, driving effective communication and delivering superior outcomes on complex, high-revenue projects. This senior-level role requires a seasoned professional who can independently lead large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through closeout while mentoring junior project managers and contributing to departmental process improvements.


The Senior Project Manager will leverage deep industry expertise to manage critical customer relationships, identify and develop new business opportunities, and guide internal teams and subcontractors toward shared goals. This role plays a key part in shaping PMO standards, financial forecasting, risk strategy, and the overall growth of the project delivery function.


Reports to: Delivery Manager


Compensation: Annual Base Salary range of $110,000 - $120,000 DOQ (Eligible for 15% incentive bonus tied to individual and company performance)

 

What You'll Do



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, communicating effectively and consistently on project status

  • Set and manage goals and objectives for internal resources and subcontractors

  • Lead high-volume, high-revenue projects that are complex in nature

  • Ensure quality of deliverables to clients, meeting or exceeding expectations while satisfying all project goals and deadlines

  • Actively manage customer accounts to identify and develop new business opportunities

  • Source materials and subcontractors, negotiate costs, and lead estimation and proposal creation

  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage union technicians, engineers, programmers, and other internal resources

  • Participate in monthly project forecasting of revenue recognition and financial reporting

  • Own project-specific change control and risk management per PMO standards

  • Collaborate with the Estimation & Engineering Office on documentation and deliverables

  • Manage execution of all project plan components, including risk assessment, deliverable coordination, timeline management, vendor/subcontractor coordination, budget control, and cost reporting

  • Report and escalate to management and leadership teams as required

  • Lead pre-construction strategy sessions, including scope review, risk identification, and project setup in coordination with Estimation & Engineering

  • Serve as the escalation point for project issues, proactively identifying solutions and communicating resolution strategies to leadership and clients

  • Mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers and junior project staff, supporting their professional development and performance

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of PMO standards, templates, and best practices across the project delivery team

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and methods

  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain and expand proficiencies

Requirements



  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience in a relevant industry; technology systems integration required (Physical security)

  • Bachelor's degree in management, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • PMP certification strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success managing $5M+ project portfolios, consistently delivering on scope, schedule, and budget


 

Work Environment


This is a full-time position primarily based in a professional office setting, with occasional walkthroughs of unfinished construction areas. The standard workweek is 40 hours; additional hours may be required during peak periods or to meet deadlines. Regular, predictable, and reliable in-person attendance is an essential function of this role.
