Exceptional Part-Time Babysitter Needed
A warm, welcoming family in Chicago's Lake Shore East neighborhood is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced babysitter
anny to join their care team. This is a consistent part-time opportunity with guaranteed hours, focused on evening and weekend support. The family has a full-time nanny during the week and is looking to add an additional caregiver who can provide attentive, specialized care for their 13-year-old child with special needs. The ideal candidate is patient, engaged, and experienced in supporting children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, compassionate care and supervision tailored to the child's unique needs
Communicate effectively with a nonverbal child
Assist with feeding and provide diapering/toileting support
Prepare and assist with child-friendly meals and snacks
Support and follow an established bedtime routine
Engage the child in meaningful, creative, and age-appropriate activities
Maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children, including those with special needs, is required
Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
Ability to follow established routines while adapting to individualized care needs
Strong communication skills and professionalism
CPR and First Aid certification required
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Driver desired, but not required. A family vehicle with a handicap sign can be used for work-related driving.
