Sr. Ab Initio Developer
Location:
Charlotte, NC (3days in hybrid model)
Duration:
12+ Months
Payrate: $60-70/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced
Sr. Ab Initio Developer
to support enterprise data initiatives involving migration and modernization of ETL pipelines into a
GCP/BigQuery environment . This role requires strong hands-on development experience in Ab Initio, deep expertise in ETL/SQL, and working knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, particularly GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Ab Initio
Implement ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data processing
Convert and migrate existing Ab Initio workflows into GCP/BigQuery architecture
Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting
Develop and manage data ingestion processes into BigQuery
Monitor and optimize GCP data processing and storage resources
Collaborate with technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
Participate in Agile ceremonies and track work using JIRA
Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across enterprise systems
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of overall IT experience
5-8+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development experience
2-4+ years of experience with GCP
2-4+ years of experience with BigQuery
Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development and SQL
Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in enterprise-level environments
