SUMMARY: This position is assigned to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) or the Idaho Training Center (ITC), Orchard Combat Training Center (OCTC), Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the State of Idaho – Military Division. The primary purpose of this position is to operate, inspect and maintain construction equipment in support of the road network and firing ranges within the OCTC and projects in support of the IDARNG’s Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program to include Range and Training Land Assessment (RTLA) and the Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM).
MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS (attach as a supporting document in Luma):
(1) Except for minor traffic offenses, have you ever entered a plea of guilty, no contest, or had a withheld judgment to a felony offense? If YES, please explain on a separate paper and attach it to your application.
(2) Do you certify that I am a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or a Foreign National with authorization to work in the United States?
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (attach as a supporting document in Luma):
(1) Must be a member of the Idaho National Guard. This requirement will be waived if selected incumbent is in a civilian or waived status.
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and fully privileged state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.
(4) Preferred experience or certification (not mandatory). If applicable, identify how you meet the stated requirement:
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A
Valid and state issued CDL (from any state). Provide your CDL number, class type, issuing state, license expiration date, any restrictions or endorsements and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
Knowledge of the Orchard Combat Training Center (OCTC) range. Describe related knowledge and/or experience to include type and duration.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (attach as a supporting document in Luma):
Must have 12-months of experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.
(1) Describe your ability to operate 1 to 10-ton dump trucks, bulldozers, 2 ½ to 5-yard front end loaders, grader, backhoe, 5 to 20-ton tractor and trailer with accessories.
(2) Describe your knowledge of operator safety programs.
(3) Describe your ability to interpret and implement instructions contained in various operator manuals.
(4) Describe your knowledge of road network maintenance requirements.
(5) Describe your ability to interpret work orders and implement project instructions.
(6) Describe your ability to perform project status reports.
(7) Describe your ability to prepare a project work plan.
