CNC Machinist

to lead precision manufacturing operations. We need a technical powerhouse who combines advanced CNC programming and operation with expert manual machining capabilities—someone who can design in CAD, program complex toolpaths, and machine mission‑critical components to aerospace‑grade tolerances. What You’ll Do
CNC Operations & Programming

Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes using G‑code and CAM software

Design tooling fixtures and part models in

CAD software

(SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)

Generate and optimize CAM toolpaths for complex multi‑axis machining operations

Perform CNC machine setup including work offsets, tool offsets, and fixture alignment

Edit programs at the machine for on‑the‑fly optimization and troubleshooting

Precision Manufacturing

Independently execute both CNC and manual machining projects from engineering drawings to finished parts

Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and 3D CAD models with advanced GD&T callouts

Select optimal tooling, cutting strategies, speeds, and feeds for various materials and applications

Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and precision measuring equipment

Calculate tapers, compound angles, tolerances, and coordinate geometry for tight‑tolerance work

Perform first‑article inspections using CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators

Problem‑Solving & Continuous Improvement

Troubleshoot machining challenges and implement process improvements

Fabricate custom tooling, fixtures, and jigs as needed

Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience

in production or job‑shop environment

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or equivalent) — REQUIRED

Expert‑level blueprint reading with strong GD&T interpretation skills

Proven CNC programming experience (conversational programming and/or G‑code)

Advanced manual machining skills on mills, lathes, and grinders

Deep understanding of machining aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, and engineering plastics

Strong shop math, trigonometry, and technical problem‑solving abilities

Precision measurement and inspection experience with tight tolerances (+/- 0.001")

Preferred Qualifications

CAM software experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360 CAM, HSMWorks, or similar)

Multi‑axis CNC programming experience (4‑axis or 5‑axis)

Fixture design and tooling fabrication experience

Trade school certification or formal machining apprenticeship
