Job Description
We are seeking a
Lab Systems Support Technician
to support a complex engineering lab environment with a mix of
legacy and modern technologies
. This role requires strong expertise in
Windows OS support, virtualization, and Active Directory administration
.
Key Responsibilities
Support Windows environments (XP, 7, 10, 11) including legacy configurations
Manage
Active Directory accounts
and perform remote system administration
Support
domain migration projects
and infrastructure upgrades
Troubleshoot
network configurations
(DHCP, static IPs, multi-NIC setups)
Maintain lab inventory and perform system reconciliation
Support
VDI and virtualization initiatives
(VMware environments)
Work with hardware interfaces (PCI, serial, parallel connections)
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on upgrades and maintenance
Required Skills
Windows OS support (including legacy systems like XP)
Active Directory & Remote Desktop support
Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DHCP, NIC configurations)
Hardware troubleshooting (drivers, PCI cards, serial adapters)
Virtualization exposure (VMware, VDI)
Scripting knowledge (PowerShell or similar - basic level acceptable)
Preferred Skills
VMware Workstation / vSphere
SCCM / MECM
Application virtualization
Top 3 Skills
