Blue Chip Talent, in collaboration with a defense sector innovator, is on the lookout for an accomplished Senior Embedded Software Engineer .
This position centers on leading software solutions for real-time platforms, developing structured models for embedded systems, and enabling communication between advanced electronic systems and protocols.
Job Duties
Create embedded applications using C/C++ tailored for real-time and Linux-based environments
Lead system modeling initiatives using structured notations and model-driven tools
Work with protocols such as CAN, RS422/485, Ethernet, and IP-based communication
Integrate software with diverse processing hardware, including ARM, x86, GPU, and FPGA
Utilize diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and logic/signal analyzers for system validation
Collaborate with teams to meet regulatory standards and compliance in a secure development environment
Support project planning activities, including proposals, estimating, and technical execution
Drive software quality and integration in line with defense and system safety standards
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Systems, Aerospace, etc.)
15+ years of relevant hands-on software development experience
Expertise in C/C++ with practical knowledge of real-time operating systems and Linux
Experience using modeling tools like SysML/UML and Cameo
Strong grasp of network and communication protocols: CAN, RS422/485, DDS, TCP/IP, Ethernet
Exposure to a wide array of processors and platforms: x86, ARM, FPGAs, and GPUs
Proficient in the use of test instrumentation for embedded debugging and verification
Working familiarity with analog/digital circuits, RF, and power electronics
Understanding of vehicle power infrastructure and PDM integration
Leadership experience in cross-functional and corporate project environments
Tools: MS Office suite, Confluence
Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management
Past involvement in large-scale US military system development programs
Familiarity with ground vehicle systems and defense procurement lifecycles
Awareness of US military vehicle standards such as FACE, VICTORY, GCIA, and MOSA
Background in command and control systems, including stabilization and targeting algorithms
Exposure to working with military technical organizations and research centers
