Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ICU RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for critically ill patients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
Administer medications, IV drips, and treatments as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
Respond to medical emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
Primary Skills
Critical care nursing
Patient assessment and monitoring
IV therapy and medication administration
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
Emergency response and critical thinking
Secondary Skills (Good To Have)
CCRN knowledge base
Advanced life support techniques
Strong communication and teamwork
Time management in high-acuity settings
Patient and family education
Qualifications
Current and valid state RN License
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred
Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
