Systems Administrator – Linux, Windows & Infrastructure Build, upgrade, and stabilize critical infrastructure in a hands-on on-site role
We are looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator to join our team working onsite in Aliso Viejo, CA to support and modernize core infrastructure in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across Linux, Windows Server, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure upgrades and wants to play a key role in keeping systems secure, stable, and high performing.
You will help drive major infrastructure initiatives, including Linux and Windows administration, storage and backup support, Hyper-V environment setup, hardware integration, system optimization, and troubleshooting complex issues. This is a highly visible on-site role for someone who likes solving real infrastructure problems and making a direct impact.
What you’ll do
Administer and support Linux servers including configuration, troubleshooting, patching, hardening, and scripting
Manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and permissions
Support infrastructure upgrades, system provisioning, and environment optimization
Execute data migration activities needed to stand up new environments
Assist with storage administration, including SAN/NAS, RAID, backup operations, data integrity, and capacity planning
Help complete the installation and integration of new infrastructure hardware and compute environments
Support Hyper-V infrastructure and broader virtualization initiatives
Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis
Maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery planning
Perform hardware audits, patching, updates, and ongoing maintenance to improve reliability and security
What we’re looking for
Experience administering Linux systems in a production environment
Strong command-line skills and scripting experience with Bash and/or Python
Experience supporting Windows Server environments
Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management
Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage, RAID, and enterprise backup solutions
Understanding of core networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple infrastructure tasks, and thrive in an on-site environment
Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Nice to have
Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
Certifications such as Linux+, RHCSA, or Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
Background in high-availability or enterprise infrastructure environments
Experience with enterprise backup or storage platforms such as Veeam, Dell EMC, NetApp, or similar
