Overview
The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties is seeking a full-time Benefit and Leave Coordinator for our Human Resources Department. The Human Resources department is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers, and handles employee relations, payroll, benefits and training. The department plans, directs and coordinates the administrative functions of the organization and ensures compliance with state, federal, and local labor laws.

Pay Rate:
$62,353.20 annually

Shift Schedule:
Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:00pm
Responsibilities
Administer employee benefit programs including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401Ks, Pension Plan, Disability, Workers Compensation, FMLA, EAP, HRA, HSA, and FSA accounts, AFLAC, and other applicable benefit programs
Coordinate and facilitate the annual Open Enrollment process in collaboration with the Insurance Broker and Chief Human Resource Officer
Enroll eligible employees in benefit plans and assist with new enrollments, changes, terminations, and related benefit issues
Input, maintain, and audit benefit deductions in the HRIS to ensure accuracy and compliance
Serve as a liaison between employees and the Insurance Broker for questions related to benefit deductions, claims, medical bills, and coverage issues
Maintain a professional and good working relationship with Insurance brokers, vendors and benefit providers
Manage and administer employee leave programs including FMLA, PFL, ADA and State Disability Benefits (SDB) ensuring compliance with applicable laws
Ensure insurance payouts are processed and recorded appropriately
Coordinate with financial institutions and agencies for HSA enrollment and administration
Work with Flores and the Insurance Broker to administer COBRA benefits
Collaborate with the Chief Human Resources Officer to update benefit plan documentation and communicate benefit changes to employees
Oversees preparation, reporting, and distribution of ACA From 1095-C and ensure compliance with all federally mandated benefits reporting requirements
Remain informed of HRIS and payroll system updates and changes
Research alternative benefit solutions, vendors and systems as needed
Assist with filing, maintaining, and auditing benefit and HR-related documentation in accordance with record retention requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred
Strong understanding of leave laws and regulations to ensure compliance with requirements
Demonstrate strong skill set in employee relations and the ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization
Must be self-motivated
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Can demonstrate strong skill set in employee relations and the ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels
Intermediate competency in Windows operating environment using MS Office applications, database, e-mail and internet programs
Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information

Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with an MVR eligible for agency insurance coverage and reliable transportation
