As a Database Security Engineer (DB2/IMS z/OS) (chandler), you will be an integral part of the Security and Database Support Department, collaborating closely with support teams to ensure the integrity and security of critical database environments. What's the Job?
Support and maintain a large-scale mainframe database environment running DB2 and IMS in a z/OS parallel SYSPLEX environment.
Manage and configure DBA access, ensuring resources are protected and security controls are effectively implemented.
Collaborate with support teams to plan and execute security controls, ensuring compliance with bank policies, standards, and procedures.
Collect evidence and contribute to security governance forums and routines regularly.
Provide off-hours support, including participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation, to ensure continuous security and operational integrity.
What's Needed?
Technical expertise in z/OS mainframe environments, including DB2 and IMS databases.
Proficiency with RACF Security Manager and related security tools.
Strong scripting and automation skills using REXX, JCL, and SQL.
Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to interface effectively with various support teams and management.
