Oracle Unifier Solution Architect (Hands-On Configuration Lead)

Oracle, Concord, NH, United States

Job Description

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Oracle Unifier Solution Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of our enterprise PMIS platform supporting a multi-billion-dollar capital projects program.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who operates at an architect level but remains deeply involved in system configuration and build. You will own the Unifier environment end-to-end-translating complex business requirements into scalable system solutions-while leading external consultants and aligning a broad set of stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who prefers building over managing but can still lead through expertise and influence.

Responsibilities:

System Architecture & Design

Define the overall Unifier system architecture, data structures, and configuration strategy

Design scalable solutions aligned to program needs across cost, change, contracts, and reporting

Establish standards for CBS, workflows, forms, and governance frameworks

Hands-On Configuration & Build

Personally configure and deploy Unifier business processes (BPs), workflows, and forms

Build and optimize:

Cost management (budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, EAC)

Change management workflows

Contract and invoice management processes

Funding and cashflow tracking

RFI and project workflows

Ensure system performance, usability, and data integrity

Implementation & Delivery

Own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, iterate)

Drive rapid implementation with an MVP mindset, balancing speed with long-term scalability

Lead system testing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement

Stakeholder Leadership

Partner with Program Controls, Finance, Construction, and Technology teams to translate requirements into system solutions

Lead and coordinate external consultants and system integrators

Act as the central point of accountability for Unifier delivery

Integration & Data Strategy

Support integration with:

Scheduling platforms (e.g., Primavera Cloud)

ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion)

Data lake / reporting environments

Ensure alignment of system data structures across platforms

Communication & Governance

Provide clear, executive-level updates on system progress, risks, and decisions

Drive alignment across stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Establish and enforce system governance and best practices

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

15+ years of experience in enterprise system implementation, with deep expertise in Oracle Unifier

Proven track record of hands-on configuration and deployment of Unifier (not just oversight)

Advanced experience with:

uDesigner (business processes, workflows, forms)

Cost and project management system configuration

Data structures and governance frameworks

Demonstrated ability to architect and deliver enterprise-scale PMIS solutions

Strong project management and delivery discipline in complex environments

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive interaction

Experience leading consultants and cross-functional teams without direct authority

Must be based in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting large-scale capital programs (e.g., infrastructure, data centers, construction)

Familiarity with Primavera Cloud (OPC) or other scheduling tools

Experience integrating Unifier with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar)

Background in project controls or cost management systems (preferred, not required)

Leadership Profile:

Hands-on builder who enjoys configuring systems directly

Operates as a technical leader without relying on formal authority

Brings structure to ambiguity and drives outcomes in fast-paced environments

Balances speed, precision, and scalability

Comfortable working extended hours to meet critical delivery milestones
