Role Overview
The Carpenter in a concrete construction company is responsible for building, erecting, and dismantling formwork and other structures used in concrete construction. This includes layout, measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing forms for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other concrete structures, in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform general construction labor including jobsite clean-up and moving materials by hand.
Operate motorized equipment and power tools such as saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
Assist in pouring vertical concrete.
Install reshores per instructions.
Learn quickly and assist in vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of vertical concrete, and distinguishing between different types of material and equipment.
Read a tape measure.
Work in inclement weather and may be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise, and dust from construction operations depending on the project site.
Minimum Qualifications
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds with assistance if requested.
Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb.
Frequent use of hand tools and power tools, including circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork/concrete construction experience as a Carpenter that meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Preference for 30 Hour OSHA Card.
