Overview

The position of the Parent Outreach Liaison is to develop and maintain parent engagement opportunities to include events, educational support for students and volunteer events on campus and serve as a liaison between school administration, staff, parents, and community partners to promote partnerships within our school, resulting in increased school culture and student achievement.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and correspondence
Must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications
Ability to effectively communicate with parents/guardians, staff, and district personnel at all levels and with outside agencies
Ability to organize, prioritize, take initiative and work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with parents/guardians, staff, district personnel at all levels and outside agencies
Ability to maintain organized, comprehensive records for reporting information
Ability and willingness to work flexible and evening hours as needed
Possess group leadership skills
Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between school personnel, parents/guardians, and the community.
Collaborate with site teachers and staff to provide parent education and events, parent meetings, etc. (i.e. Parent volunteer meetings, PTSO, Math and Reading Literacy Nights, Family Curriculum Evening, etc.).
Create, coordinate, and facilitate parent meetings.
Foster an awareness of our school community and or visitors.
Connect parents to leadership and volunteer opportunities.
Compile information for the school website regarding parent involvement and maintain parent information areas (boards, marquee, front office, and online etc.) at the school site with resources and activities affecting parental involvement.
Use data to provide programs and activities to address the needs of parents and the school.
Confidentially maintain a variety of records, which may include: parent information, attendance records, data logs, and other parent program information.
Prepare reports to submit to Administration, which may include program hours, parent information, programs/events.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the parent program.
