Legal Administrative Assistant

Trustpoint has an immediate opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant with a boutique law firm in Washington, DC. This contract-to-hire, in-office opportunity is ideal for a highly organized and polished professional who enjoys supporting attorneys, managing office operations, and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused environment, with strong potential for long-term growth. Successful candidates will have 2+ years of experience in administrative or legal support roles in a a law firm.
Responsibilities:
Oversee front office operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and coordinating incoming/outgoing mail
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calls, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and maintaining calendars
Communicate with clients and assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and file management systems
Support partners with monthly time entry and prepare/reconcile expense reports and supporting documentation
Manage office and kitchen supply inventory and maintain overall office organization and appearance
Coordinate daily food and coffee orders and assist with setup/cleanup for meetings and events
Assist with vendor billing, payments, and maintaining vendor relationships
Provide support with client billing as needed
Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
2+ years of experience in administrative or legal support roles in a a law firm required
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Experience with legal document formatting, including tables of contents, styles, track changes, and PDF editing/conversion
Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
