What a Caregiver Does

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you provide hands-on support that helps clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities may include:
Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship
Participating in clients' favorite activities and hobbies
Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
Assisting with walking, dressing, bathing, and daily personal care
Observing and reporting changes in clients' physical condition, mood, or behavior
Documenting care provided and communicating updates with the care team

Caregiver Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older
Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required (we train the right people)
Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
Ability to treat clients with dignity, patience, and respect
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level
Punctual, dependable, and committed to high-quality care
