Responsibilities
As a Sourcing Specialist II, support the NSC Procurement Department for the North America-based Eurofins companies. Report into a Category Manager (e.g. Consumables, Clinical, Service Contracts, Capex, Logistics or others) and refine processes as well as execute new category strategies related to current projects.
Manage Purchasing related activities for specific categories/projects in close coordination with the Category Manager and Business.
Obtain significant cost savings in your categories of scope/projects with increasing quality and lower delivery time.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand laboratory business requirements, align on goals and drive sourcing initiatives.
Build a project pipeline, lead the sourcing process (RFI and RFQ) with support of technical experts, including negotiations with suppliers.
Influence and lead change management to ensure sourcing practices, processes and tools are adopted across the organization.
Demonstrate self-motivation and a performance-driven mindset to identify priorities and deliver within agreed deadlines.
Conduct market research (social media, websites, etc.) to gain market information, cost and risk assessments.
Apply sound analytical skills and use Excel and PowerPoint to prepare reports and insights.
Analyze procurement data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Integrate organizational measures like supplier diversity, sustainability, cash flow improvement, automation, and digitization into the scope managed.
Lead negotiations with suppliers and manage contracts with knowledge of legal and contractual issues.
Organize priorities and projects with the ability to adapt to Purchasing department, customer and business needs.
Be agile and adaptable to Eurofins and team needs, including potential assignment of new goals and adjustments in roles and responsibilities.
Autonomous work style: ability to work with limited oversight and strong capacity for self-directed learning.
Additional responsibilities
Managing supplier selection, RFP process, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance processes.
Creating a strong knowledge and intelligence base for assigned categories, market dynamics and suppliers relevant to the business.
Maintaining resilience and ability to work under pressure in a multi-tasking environment to manage both operational and value-driven purchasing.
Ensuring administration, implementation, compliance, and enforcement of national commodity and contracting strategies.
Driving sourcing process alignment through project management including scope, timeline, deliverables, total cost of ownership, quality, and budget.
Leading negotiations for multi-site group contracts and extracting cost savings.
Building relationships with external suppliers.
Acting as Purchasing Business Partner for a few Legal Entities and serving as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders.
Producing various reports as defined by team processes or management.
Reviewing Purchase Order requisitions in Coupa and ensuring best value sourcing.
Maintaining robust e-catalogue and pricing management in the procurement tool with regular compliance checks.
Leading and integrating the assigned portfolio of spend related to post-acquisition activity.
Leading both sourcing and operational scope in purchasing.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of Purchasing or related experience.
Experience working in Excel and use of pivot tables and standard functions.
Experience in Sourcing or Purchasing is desired.
Experience with Coupa Source-to-Pay is an asset but not mandatory.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Sciences (or related field) preferred.

Position is full-time working Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Leola, PA are encouraged to apply.
