As a Line Cook at Impact Kitchen, you set the culinary standard high and are passionate about ensuring guests enjoy their experience through incredible food. You create delectable and consistent dishes for dine-in and take-out guests, support back-of-house operations, and partner with your Guest Experience teammates to deliver a seamless Impact Kitchen experience.
Line Cooks are highly flexible individuals responsible for dishwashing, preparing, and working both hot and cold line kitchen stations while supporting Impact Kitchen's breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menu. As proper food handling, food safety, and consistent recipe preparation are vital to this position, a primary responsibility of the Line Cook is to monitor sanitation, food quality, and freshness. This position is highly physical; therefore, individuals must possess strong stamina and attention to detail. Ideal candidates are efficient, adaptable, team-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation

Team & Department

Line Cooks make an impact every day through our back-of-house operations and represent a key part of our total team. In this role, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple levels of the organization while being a central point of food production for our guests.
The Line Cook reports to the Culinary Experience Management Team, including the Assistant Culinary Experience Manager and Culinary Experience Manager.
Line Cooks serve as a foundation for growth within Impact Kitchen. Those who excel as Line Cooks have the opportunity to progress into Culinary Lead positions where they train and develop top talent, and eventually advance into management roles.
Core Responsibilities

Preparation, production, and execution of menu items and food quality standards according to detailed recipes and instructions
Operation and maintenance of dishwashing units and dish-cleaning areas
Execution of custodial and cleaning duties as needed
Receiving and storage of deliveries from the commissary kitchen and third-party suppliers
Effective storage, management, and safe rotation (FIFO) of all products
Cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and food production areas
Strict adherence to company, municipal, and provincial guidelines related to food safety and workplace standards
Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of kitchen experience with a general understanding of cooking and cleaning fundamentals
Strong knowledge of food safety and public health practices
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid Work Permit required
Preferred but not required: Food Handlers Certification
