Floor Technician
A Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors, including carpets and hard surfaces, on the property. Their duties involve cleaning, repairing, and refinishing floors using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate floor cleaning machines, and adherence to safety procedures. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors. Equipment operating, using floor cleaning machines such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors. Adhering to safety guidelines and reporting maintenance issues. Performing tasks such as carpet spotting, bonnet cleaning, and extracting. Assisting with other cleaning duties as needed, including dusting, cleaning walls, and furniture. Maintaining an inventory of floor areas, scheduling cleaning duties, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications include knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees. The job requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy equipment. Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgment and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another. Communicate effectively with co-workers and management. Work in cramped quarters. Attention to detail. Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with others. Professional appearance and demeanor. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Minimum age requirement is 21. Education and/or experience: high school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills. Must be able to speak and understand English. Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time. Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds. Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift. Frequently stooping, reaching. Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment. Work with others in close spaces. Moderate to high noise levels. Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
