Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire offers multiple inpatient and outpatient programs designed to meet the needs of every patient, no matter the issue. From our inpatient adult, to our outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, our continuum of care can provide the treatment necessary to move our patients toward a more independent future.
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator to provide transportation for patients to and from the facility for pre-scheduled appointments and help organize and direct patient's daily activities. Primary responsibilities include providing transportation for patients to and from the facility, reporting all van maintenance problems to the Department Director, assisting with the patient's day to day needs and activities, communicating and consulting with the Department Director and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information daily, maintaining a clean environment for patients at all times, and demonstrating responsibility and sound judgment regarding patient safety.

Qualifications include a high school graduate or equivalent, one year of transportation services experience preferred, priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients, and must maintain a valid as required for transportation of patients. Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification is also required; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
