DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable
The Accounting Assistant will process invoices/patient refunds. Print and sign processed checks for mailing. File vouchers, check stub/invoice.
Audit of invoices for correct vendor/Address/GL accounts, updating post dates and due dates.
Assist in EFT and check payment processing.
Process credit application requests, W-9 requests, and tax-exempt forms for vendors.
Set up new Vendors in system and gather necessary information needed.
Monitor Accounts Payable email boxes, respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Banking Daily Duties
The Accounting Assistant will assist in retrieval daily bank statements. Send information to appropriate parties.
Month End Procedures
The Accounting Assistant will assist in completion of bank reconciliations clear checks, deposits, credit card and payroll transactions.
Reporting for Sales Tax and Unemployment Compensation. Corporate Visa Monthly Reconciliation and Corporate Purchasing Card Reconciliation
The Accounting Assistant will verify cardholder's receipts with statement and code/reclassify transactions.
Process invoices as they are received via Blackbaud throughout the statement period.
Reconcile statement via FE bank module.
Prepare JE and upload reclassifications
Audit Concur cardholder expense reports
Reconcile Concur cardholder batches to the Spend Clarity monthly statements
The Accounting Assistant will assist Finance Department staff with various finance duties as needed.

Must be able to lift 35-40 pounds (file boxes)
Sedentary work requiring sitting for sustained periods of time at desk and computer (80% of day)
Ability to type 90% of the day
Education / Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency required
Associate degree in finance/accounting preferred
2 years' experience in accounting Assistant, accounts payable or bookkeeping role required
If in recovery, 1-year continuous sobriety preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer literate in Windows operating systems required
Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
Computer skills with accounting software required
General accounting procedure knowledge required
Must possess good typing skills (preferred minimum of 45 WPM), with minimal errors, spelling and proofing skills.
Must possess excellent customer service skills
